Garden View Aged Care Services is a culturally inclusive home dedicated to providing 24/7 nursing care, along with access to Vietnamese-speaking staff. Staff members, sharing the same heritage and cultural background as the residents, have developed strong relationships with them, treating each resident as if they were family. The care team emphasizes person-centered care, consistently aiming to deliver safe, high-quality, effective, and efficient support. The facility is equipped with a 24-hour emergency call system.

Qualified and skilled Registered Nurses lead the care team around the clock, ensuring specialized care and treatment for the residents. This team is guided by an experienced Care Manager/Clinical Supervisor and a Clinical Nurse Educator. Our clinical governance framework is upheld by evidence-based practices, including Infection Control Management, Medication Management, Wound Management, and Palliation Management. We have successfully adapted to the New Accreditation Standards through established Policies, Procedures, and Processes. Individualized care plans are created in consultation with residents and their representatives, prioritizing choice, dignity, and respect throughout the process.

Personal care services are delivered using a person-centered approach, including personal hygiene assistance tailored to residents’ preferences for showering and dining experiences.

The Catering Service provides meals that comply with the Food Safety Program and meet nutritional needs outlined by a Dietitian. Meals are culturally respectful of the Vietnamese heritage and designed to satisfy the residents’ requirements.

Onsite Allied Health Services are available, including Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Dietetics, Speech Pathology, and Audiology.

Lifestyle and Recreational Activities are integral to the residents’ well-being. A detailed monthly activity calendar offers meaningful and interactive options that respect residents’ choices. Garden View celebrates festive occasions, birthdays, and cultural events, with external entertainers frequently performing for the residents. Additionally, our talented care team provides performances during celebratory events. The home is adorned with Vietnamese heritage arts and memorabilia, allowing residents to reminisce about their past. Residents’ religious and spiritual needs are thoughtfully integrated into leisure and lifestyle care planning, with Christian and Buddhist groups regularly visiting to support these needs.

A dedicated team of both Burmese and non-Burmese speaking General Practitioners provides medical care to the residents. Support also comes from the local Geriatric Palliation Outreach team and the Fairfield Geriatric Flying Squad, who assess residents at Garden View for Palliation or end-of-life care.

Our Pharmacy Service offers medication advice and supplies for residents, with medication and pharmaceutical deliveries occurring twice daily.

Local pathology services are available onsite for blood collection, and mobile X-rays can be requested as needed.

The Board of Directors collaborates closely with Garden View on Organizational Governance, promoting cultural safety, diversity, and respect, as well as the dignity of risk and choice.
