Garden View Aged Care is proudly operated by BCDC as the first Burmese-speaking nursing home in Australia, serving the community as a not-for-profit organisation since 2023.
Originally a family-owned residential aged care facility, Garden View has been part of the local community for over 30 years. With major refurbishments completed in 2010 and 2019, the home offers a warm, modern, and comfortable environment tailored to meet the needs of our residents.
At Garden View, we are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Our team builds genuine, respectful relationships with residents and their families, working closely with doctors and allied health professionals to ensure every individual receives care that is tailored to their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
Our small size and community-based model allow us to remain flexible and responsive. Families are able to speak directly with key decision-makers, ensuring open communication and quick action when needed.
As the first of its kind in Australia, Garden View not only offers clinical care but also focuses on culturally meaningful activities, language-specific support, and a nurturing environment where residents feel truly at home.

Nicole Zhang

Director of Nursing
Nicole Zhang has been an integral part of Garden View for over 10 years. With her extensive nursing background, she has successfully transitioned into a leadership role, where her expertise in clinical care and nursing operations drives the organisation’s commitment to excellence. She has been serving as the Director of Nursing since 2024. Nicole’s strengths include her advanced communication skills, which enable her to effectively engage with both staff and patients, fostering trust and clarity in all interactions.
Her problem-solving abilities are a key asset to the team, as she consistently identifies solutions to challenges, improving patient care and operational efficiency. Nicole’s leadership style emphasises mentorship, professional development, and maintaining a positive, collaborative environment that empowers her team. She is dedicated to enhancing care quality, driving improvements in nursing practices, and ensuring that Garden View remains a top-tier healthcare provider.

Lei Zhang

Deputy Director of Nursing
Lei Zhang, who has been working in Garden View for over 13 years. She is a dedicated healthcare professional with a robust Registered Nurse (RN) background. Lei brings a wealth of experience and expertise in clinical care, specializing in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. With a steadfast commitment to compassionate and personalised care, Lei is pivotal in overseeing and improving clinical care standards across our facility.
Through proactive management and a deep understanding of healthcare protocols, Lei ensures that every resident receives the highest level of care tailored to their needs. Her leadership fosters a nurturing environment and promotes continuous improvement in aged care facilities, ultimately enriching the lives of those we serve.
